Carrots Love to hug

宇都宮市西刑部町の農業田崎倭夫(まさお)さん（６９）が、珍しい形のニンジンを自宅の畑で収穫した。

　ニンジン２本が抱き合うような形をしており、「仲良しニンジン」「ラブラブニンジン」と話題になっている。

　田崎さんはニンジンを５０年以上栽培しているが、２本がくっついたニンジンを見たのは初めて。２本のニンジンは長さ約１５センチ。片方のニンジンから伸びた２本の“腕”が、もう１本のニンジンの周囲を抱えているように見える状態で収穫された。昨年７月に種をまき、夏場の乾燥時に散水して栽培してきた。

　田崎さんは「想像もしない形が出てきてたまげた。大変なことが多い世の中、土の中でくっついていたなんて縁起が良い」とほほ笑んでいる。
