開業10周年の記念プログラムを3日よりスタートさせるユニバーサル・スタジオ・ジャパン（USJ）は2月28日、その一部を報道陣に公開した。新たに始 まるのはミュージカル仕立ての屋外ショーやパフォーマンスショー、人気キャラクターたちを取り入れたトリックアートなど。世界各国で長年愛され続けている 人気教育番組『セサミストリート』を取り入れたアトラクションには、USJ発のオリジナルキャラクターも誕生する。

　『セサミストリート』の同園限定新キャラクターは、屋内ショー・アトラクション「セサミストリートのハッピー・サプライズ」に登場。新キャラ 「モッピー」は“左手のハートマークでこころをつなげ、右手の星のマークで夢を叶える”という力を持っており、誕生にあたって同番組を制作・管理する米セ サミワークショップと共同で開発を進めたという。
