『クロエ』は、2004年に日本公開されたエマニュエル・ベアール、ファニー・アルダン主演の仏映画『恍惚』を、 エゴヤン監督が再映画化した作品。産婦人科医として成功し、家庭にも恵まれた女性キャサリンが夫の浮気を疑ったことから、偶然知り合った若い娼婦クロエに 夫を誘わせ、その反応を報告させる計画を思いつく。しかし、それは疑惑の連鎖の始まりで……

このほど公開された予告編は、主人公キャサリ ンがクロエと出会い、夫を誘惑するよう持ちかける場面に始まり、彼女の負の妄想と疑惑が渦巻いていく過程を矢継ぎ早に紹介したもの。演技派女優として知ら れるジュリアン・ムーア、リーアム・ニーソンと、公開作の続くアマンダ・セイフライドの出演作だけに、短い映像ながら随所で、登場人物たちが、自身が抱え る謎をめぐって鋭い“かけひき”を展開している。

『クロエ』はブロードメディア・スタジオの配給で5月から全国順次公開される。
