　国際電気通信基礎技術研究所（京都府）などは３日、人間が手を広げたような形の携帯電話型ロボット「エルフォイド」の試作機を都内で公開した。

　今回のロボットでは、目や首、唇、手はまだ動かないが、今後、形状記憶合金や小型モーターを組み込み、画像認識機能で読み取った話し手の表情やしぐさを相手に伝えられるよう工夫する。５年以内に実用化のめどをつけたいとしている。
