　国際緊急援助隊は地震発生２日後の先月２４日に現地入りし、多くの日本人が通っていたＣＴＶビルの倒壊現場で救助活動にあたってきた。ビルのガ レキが取り除かれた後も、その周辺などで遺体の捜索などを続けたが、１１日午前で活動を終えた。

　隊員たちは１１日朝、活動終了にあたって倒壊したビルの跡地を訪れ、黙とうをささげた。日本人２１人はいまだ安否がわかっておらず、折原茂晴団 長は「被災者家族の気持ちは察するにあまりある」と言葉を詰まらせた。
