The "Tokyo gate bridge" which attracts attention as a Niina place which can command a whole view of Mt. Fuji or Tokyo Sky Tree from Tokyo Bay was opened for traffic at 10:00 a.m. on the 12th.
This bridge is a general way of single-sided 2 lane which connects Wakasu, Koto-ku, Tokyo and a central breakwater outside reclaimed ground, and is 2618 meters in length.
The sidewalk is also improved by about 1.6 km of the marine section.
Simultaneously with opening of traffic, many citizens took a walk the sidewalk from the Wakasu side, and it raised a cheer to the panorama of Mt. Fuji, Tokyo Tower, and Tokyo Sky Tree which appeared on right-hand side distinctly on that day used as fine weather.
The office worker (25) of Tokorozawa-shi, Saitama "the airplane which takes off Haneda Airport also looks close, and is powerful, and a scene is much more wonderful than anticipation.
The camera was turned here and there, saying that it boasts to a friend."

東京湾から富士山や東京スカイツリーを一望できる新名所として注目される「東京ゲートブリッジ」が１２日午前１０時、開通した。

　この橋は、東京都江東区若洲と中央防波堤外側埋め立て地とを結ぶ片側２車線の一般道で、長さ２６１８メートル。海上区間の約１・６キロには歩道も整備されている。

　晴天となったこの日、開通と同時に大勢の市民が若洲側から歩道を散策し、右側にくっきりと浮かんだ富士山、東京タワー、東京スカイツリー のパノラマに歓声を上げた。埼玉県所沢市の会社員（２５）は「羽田空港を飛び立つ飛行機も間近に見えて迫力あるし、予想よりずっと景色が素晴らしい。友達 に自慢します」と、カメラをあちこちに向けていた。
