１６日、魚市場の関係者が泳いでいるオットセイを見つけた。体長は約１メートル２０センチで、体を回転させながら、ひれでおなかをかくようなしぐさをし、のんびりと岸壁近くを行ったり来たりしていた。市場関係者は「四十何年、市場にいるが初めて見た。防波堤がなくなったから入りやすくなったのでは」と話している。
魚市場の人たちは「元気に泳いでいるうちは見守っていたい」と話していた。
